About Touchies
Touchies is the UK’s first online store completely dedicated to Touch. It is the brain-child of Paul Farrington who finally saw the idea become reality in Summer 2007.
Paul has been actively involved in Touch for the past 4 years and in that time has run successful teams, leagues and events. Following a trip to the 2007 Touch World Cup in South Africa, it was noticed that some Southern Hemisphere players were wearing brands and styles of Touch shoe that weren’t available in the UK, but had to be ordered from Down Under. Back in the UK, Rugby Union’s big manufacturer’s were starting to produce Touch equipment, but the image remained closely linked to Rugby, something that the sport of Touch is keen to move away from.
Touchies was born with the aim of reflecting the unique style and look of Touch by bringing new Touch specific products to the UK from suppliers with a history of the game. At this stage X-Blades, official Touch shoe of the New Zealand and more recently Touch Football Australia, Steeden official supplier of Touch Balls to the FIT World Cup and Asics, high performance turf shoes have been selected by Touchies.
Touchies looks to cater for the social player to the elite internationals, providing high quality equipment at a range of prices to suit everyone.
As the sport grows, Touchies will expand and allow players to get the right gear to perform in.
